The cutest dessert that I have ever had
We went out for some Peking Duck tonight, which was sooooo good. I ordered apple filled custards for dessert and this is what arrived! SO CUTE!!
The giant Buddha
So, yesterday we pretty much hung out all day and are and did face masks and had massages, as we were both pooped and shopped out. It was glorious!
Today we went to see the giant Buddha, climbing 268 steps to the base, and the monetary nearby. It was a great way to spend our last day in Hong Kong! Tomorrow, we are off to Taipei!

Ama Temple
We went to Ama temple, which is actually the namesake of Macau, today. When the Portuguese showed up, they asked what the city was called, but they people here did not speak Portuguese, so they thought they were asking what the area was called. Ama cau means "Ama Bay", so they thought it was "ah! Macau!" Anyway, I thanked the Buddha with three incense sticks for my time here and that I have such a wonderful husband who lets me come here...
Side note: the giant things that look like rockets or fireworks are actually crazy big incense sticks. They cost only about $250 and will burn for several days. There's a door in that picture to give you a sense of scale.

Behold! My lunch of tastiness!
A steamed and also a baked (!) soupy dumpling and some banana bao. WHAAAAAAT???? Yum! (Nancy, we need to get on the whole soupy dumplings thing for monthly dinner.)
What occupy Hong Kong is actually like
> We were in Mong Kok down the road today and saw some of the protests. It was super peaceful, mostly it was people just looking at what was going on as they passed through, but there were probably a few hundred people standing around listening to a few people on megaphones. These are some pics I took.

First Pictures From Grand Tetons
I'm terribly tired, but I managed to edit a few pictures from my Grand Tetons workshop and put them up on flickr here. Saw elk, beaver, pronghorns, and moose today, as well a brief look at the Eponymous Tetons.
Yesterday: Hong Kong Disney
It was awesome. Mystic Manor is super cool, the parade was bitchin, and a good time was had! (Food is horrible though, bring a lunch!)
